By accessing or using the Argos Nutrition API ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Argos provides a REST API for food recognition, barcode scanning, nutrition data lookup, and meal logging. Usage is metered per API key.
The Service is in pre-release / beta stage and is under active development. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice. Data you store may be lost due to upgrades, migrations, or errors. No service-level agreement (SLA) is provided. You use the Service at your own risk.
You are responsible for keeping your API keys confidential. Any activity that occurs under your API key is your responsibility. Keys can be revoked at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law.

Food images you submit may be processed by third-party AI models. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.
API requests are subject to rate limiting per API key. Limits are displayed in response headers (X-RateLimit-Remaining). Excessive usage may result in temporary suspension.
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. See Section 9 for the full Disclaimer of Warranties.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ARGOS DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. NO ADVICE OR INFORMATION, WHETHER ORAL OR WRITTEN, OBTAINED BY YOU FROM ARGOS OR THROUGH THE SERVICE SHALL CREATE ANY WARRANTY NOT EXPRESSLY STATED IN THESE TERMS.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL ARGOS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE, AND OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR ACCESS TO THE SERVICE (IF ANY), OR ZERO IF NO FEES HAVE BEEN PAID.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Argos and its operators from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (i) your use of the Service in violation of these Terms; (ii) your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party; or (iii) any content or data you submit through the Service.
We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the email address associated with your account. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts located in the city where you are based, or if you are based outside Pakistan, in the courts of Lahore, Pakistan. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
